iPad 1:1 initiatives are not a new concept, but every year several districts take on the task. Although there is no definitive blue print for a iPad 1:1 program, districts that take on this challenge quickly find out it is almost impossible to plan for every curve ball that is thrown their way throughout the process. Here in Manor ISD, we looked to local area districts to learn as much as we could. We can say after many months of planning and discussion, Manor came up with a plan that looked solid. Then came the Nolan Ryan curve balls that taught us to expect anything. From those experiences, we came up with the 5 steps to ensuring a successful 1:1 iPad Roll Out.
