Having evolved into a contemporary country music must-see seemingly overnight, Waterloo Revival has quickly taken hold of the Texas music scene, selling out major venues along its path. After the much anticipated release of their debut EP “Little Lightning," Waterloo has played for a sold out crowd at Stubb’s, filled Ray Benson’s Rattle Inn to capacity, and secured sponsorship from famed Texas country clothier Southern Thread.
Based in Austin, Texas, the band’s rapid success is a testament to their catchy songs and southern twang; described by many as a soothing mix of contemporary country laced with Texas grit. Waterloo Revival is led by native Austinites George Birge (Lead Vocals and Guitar) and Cody Cooper (Rhythm Guitar), who have been both playing and co-writing music together since early adolescence. Matt Colletta (Lead Guitar) and Mateo Clarke (Fiddle & Mandolin) provide the band’s unique melodies and rock & folk inspired solos, while Jason Klann (Bass) and Thomas Morris (Drums) tie tracks together with unmistakable rhythm.
As Waterloo Revival’s shows continue to sell out week by week, the group looks forward to extending their bookings well across the state borders and spreading their high-energy tracks and infectious Texas charm nationwide.
